Did you know? Last year, over £27 billion was spent on Christmas shopping in the UK. For many December has become the Christmas month: Wall-to wall buying, non-stop christmas songs and parties. It’s intense and some say, by the time December 25th comes round, they’ve already had enough of Christmas. For Catholics, December is different and the three and half weeks before Christmas Day is Advent. It’s a time of waiting and quiet expectation. But what’s the point of Advent?
