When difficult times come and we are struggling to see the joy in our lives, Jesus invites us to trust him. There’s a moment in the Gospels when Jesus meets some men who are down on their luck. They are fishermen who have been out on the water all night and caught nothing. As you can imagine they are feeling pretty fed up. But then Jesus invites them to do something they know for a fact makes no sense: To throw their nets out again, in the middle of the day when all the fish are nowhere near the surface. In other words, to just trust him!
